About Us
Barclay Court is a late nineteenth century building which still retains many of its original features, but with all the expected modern facilities. It is only a 5 minute walk down to the shopping centre and a 15 minute walk down to the harbour and sea front. The Guest House is situated within a quiet residential area with easy access to all the amenities, however for those walking we are situated on one of the Torquay hills. The property has a south facing garden with sun terrace with views over part of Torquay. We have our own car park, as well as free on street parking. What an amazing guest house with amazing owners who bend over backwards to accomodate and give helpful advice regards the area.
The rooms are perfect, plenty of room with every detail covered. As for the breakfast cooked to perfection with plenty of options. Certainly recommend to everyone, a home from home with a lovely personal touch and impeccably clean. We would certainly stay again if we are visiting the area. Hats off to you Felicity and Paul you should be very proud.

Fabulous place. Very clean with very very very comfy beds. We did not require the cleaning service as we only stayed for 2 nights but still had tea coffee and biscuits left by our room with all our names. Very personal treatment. Quality breakfast and nice garden. Not recommended if you have walking difficulties as it's on the hill but we enjoyed our daily walk up the stairs😊 can't find 1 bad thing about this place. We will be back. Thank you very much Felicity and Paul.

I've just enjoyed 3 nights B&B at Barclay Court. Rooms are spotless. Proprietors Felicity & Paul are very friendly & most helpful. Breakfasts are excellent. Good to be able to park off street. Only drawback is the steep hilly roads back up from sea front. Can very definitely recommend the hotel and will be back if an opportunity arises.

We stayed for 1 night as we were attending an event in Torquay but the length of stay made no difference to the lovely friendly welcome we received. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable with ample tea and coffee supplies. Breakfast was yummy with lots of attention to detail. We will definitely stay here again when in Torquay and highly recommend to all. This level of service is why we should be supporting local business so next time you are looking at booking a chain hotel in Torquay think local and book this fantastic guest house!

Amazing hotel, felt like at home. Owners are so kind and professional, amazing service, very clean rooms , delicious breakfast. I'll be back for sure ! Amazing location, 7-10 minutes dostance from amazing places to see.
